Lehigh Valley Content Optimization Services

Content optimization (or on-page SEO) is the process of creating and fine-tuning your website content so that it’s as helpful as possible to both visitors and search engines.

The most important part of on-page SEO for local businesses is your service pages. We make sure you have service pages published for every service you offer, and we optimize them for maximum search engine visibility.

Service page optimization

Search engines won’t rank you for services that you don’t have listed on your website, and customers can’t pay you for these services if the pages don’t exist!

Let’s take a power washing company as an example. A typical power washing company might offer services like:

  • Driveway power washing
  • Window power washing
  • Siding power washing
  • Brick power washing

and so on. You need a dedicated page for each of these sub-services on your website. Each page will target one of those keywords, so you’re more likely to pop up if someone Googles ‘window power washing near me’, for example.

If you don’t have an optimized and dedicated page set up for each service you offer, you’re losing out on a lot of potential search visibility.

Our on-page optimization process

Our approach to content optimization is simple and proven:

  1. We audit your existing website and content
  2. We optimize existing pages to meet industry standards
  3. We add missing services pages
  4. We add any other content pages that could drive qualified leads to your business.

After optimizations are made or new pages are published, we track the results and make additional optimizations as needed.

How does optimization work?

At the most basic level, on-page search optimization deals with two things:

  1. Make sure you have distinct pages on your website that target each keyword you want to rank for.
  2. Make sure all published content has the words, structure, length, and intent that Google and other search engines expect to see for a given keyword.

For step 1, we utilize a combination of common sense, experience, and a number of industry-standard tools to identify what keywords your business should rank for. These can be broader terms like ‘roof repair’, or more specific terms like ‘A-frame roof repair’.

For step 2, the best way to jump start your optimization is to take a look at what Google is already ranking on page 1 for a given keyword.

If you search ‘roof repair’ and Google returns 5 results on page 1 that are all around 750 words of content, all using ‘Roof Repair’ in their title tags, and all including related keywords like ‘roof leak repair’, ‘flat roof repair’, and so on, then the best place to start is by making sure your content hits all of the same notes.

We follow the idea that Google generally shows you what it wants to see on page 1 – if your content is significantly different than what’s already visible, you’re fighting an uphill battle from the start.

While this is a very basic example of how search optimization works, on-page optimization is not nearly that clear-cut in practice. We handle each of our clients on a case-by-case basis to make sure you’re getting the most out of our services.
